benefits of a superunner steering setup.

i have extended radius arms with eb coils, and f250 shock towers, im pulling about 15-16" of travel with 2 inches of lift.. all the steering stuff is brand new, i even rebuilt the steering box, and put a fa400 drop pitman arm on. so my steering linkage is completely flat, like it should be to avoid bump steer on these trucks, and it rides REALLY good, i compare it to a cadillac.

the steering linkages are currently limiting my travel (not that i need more), my question is. will going to the super runner setup, give me any advantages?

when i go across a washboard section of road, i do get what feels like a loss of input, but im also not sure if that has to do with the 320 ppi eb coils i put in.
 
If the stock linkage is binding up, the Superrunner definitely would help with that (at 2" lift you should not have to modify the centerlink either). Since your stock linkage is flat (2" lift + FA400 arm), handling should be pretty good. Not sure about your "feels like a loss of input" issue... If I was to guess, I would say it's most likely your shocks (provided everything else is tight). Though washboard roads will always cause the handling to become more vague if you're traveling at any decent speed since the tires would be bouncing over it and contacting the road at something less than 100% of the time.

i did some reading up on that superunner setup, and they say it requires no less 3.5" of lift. i have those lift brackets but id rather not use them. and they also say that flat tie rod angles produced with a drop pitman arm should be satisfactory for steering, without there system.

im not sure that i would have any real benefits in this system, however i would like to eliminate the vague steering i am having and gain the extra droop i am missing. i should note that the vague steering input is only while not going very fast over washboard roads.

maybe there is some other type of steering i should look at, or just live with it.

Superlift is all screwed up on that kit... Their kit is idealized for a 2" (drop bracket type) lift, whether they realize it or not. I even contacted them one time years ago trying to discuss problems with their kit and the person I spoke with wanted nothing to hear about it.
At 3.5" lift, the centerlink would need to be dropped down 1.5" for the tie rod angles to be correct.

Two other steering types (which are more similar than they are different) are the crossover and swingset. Both are popular in the 2WD desert racing scene, but the long tie rods make them hard to package on a 4WD due to the front diff housing being in the middle of everything (it's been done, but typically requires bends be put in the tierods, which weakens them and reduces their rigidity).

I'm still unsure the vagueness you're describing isn't from something unrelated since your linkage should be about flat (I have 240PPI XJ springs under mine and it's generally been fine).
I assume you've already checked for looseness in your wheel bearings, ball joints, axle bushings, etc? Also checked the rag joint for any problems? Maybe tires? (too much/too little pressure?)
