I picked up a 92 XLT that needed a lot of love. One of the things missing was the Battery hold down, I found a hold down but am wondering if anybody knows what size bolt it uses.

I think it is a 10mm head...

I had to replace my hold down due to the bolt being rusted out and breaking off. after drilling the old bolt out, Autozone had a generic replacement bolt/ hold down kit for about 10 bucks. worked great.

Just went thru this Monday with battery replacement. Bolt took a 8mm socket and was a bitch to remove. Having to grind the head off another one I have.

What about the thread size?

yep, Mac is correct, it is an 8mm head... not sure why I was thinking 10.

Not sure on the thread count/ pitch. the kit from Autozone worked, take a look at it and see if you can match it up. it will need to be about 2 inches long to go through the mounting block.

It's a M6x1.0, I don't recall the length.

Awesome, thank you!
