like the post says while driving on the highway the other day out of no where i got a bad vibration like driving on the safety strips on the side of the interstate . while driving in town the other day i started to vibrate so i clicked it in to 4hi and it stoped then i took it out of 4hi and it was gone then came back about amile down the road any ideas ???/

I've got a '99 4WD and I had the same problem. The vibration probably started when you hit a bump in the road. Most likely, your have a stub axle chattering inside the hub/bearing assembly. The vacuum lockers were also shot on my truck, Whoever owned it before me actually tried welding the gears in the vac. locker assy. together. I installed a set of the Rugged Ridge manual hub lockers and it's not happened again since.

i have rugged rigs hubs that what i was thinking is the cvjoint did you chang the cv joint ?

does anyone have any ideas any help would be great:icon_thumby:

I had the same problem....same hubs and all...mine has 211,000 and i narrowed it down to the transfercase chain...

it wont turn over or wont fire up.the starter is a pretty simple circuit just run power from the battery to where red small wire on top the cylinoid is and it should turn over if not you probably have a bad connection at the starter or bad starter.if it does turn over check for spark and fuel pressure

Mine just started doing this the other day as well!
Does yours feel like its coming from a particular side?

Ill look into the transfer case this weekend hopefully.

Mine did the same thing, i had the Rugged Ridge Hubs. Found out that the cv shaft has a bearing inside the wheele bearing. Replace that (Napa $23 Bucks!) and had to buy a new hub because the old cv shaft ate the inside of the hub. Now it dosnt vibrate. You can just pound that old bearing with a flat screwdriver and a big hammer.

Auto aficionados adored the Ford Ranger upon its presentation and open introduction in 1982. Incredible changes and redesigns were considered RevisorJönköping to be points of reference for the Ford Ranger. Those that made waves incorporated the 1965 utilization of the Ranger name as a styling bundle for the F-Series pickup trucks.
