hello everybody, im having a kinda bad problem. i have a 98 ranger 2wd 5 speed and a 4 banger. it has 215,000 miles on it an runs awsome, but for the past month its been harder to get into gear. the clutch dosent slip at all but, when i start it, its very hard to go in, but once get it in it shifts fine, sometimes alittle rough but not bad. to day it would not go at all so i cut thetruck off and started it in gear. with the clutch on te floor the truck wanted to move then it went away. i took it out and it did it again. I also noticed with the clutch in i can her it spinning like its engaging. Could this be my slave cylinder or the clutch itsself? when i replaced the slave on my old ranger i coud see it leakin.thistruck hasnt lost a drop of clutch fluid an i been checking it for months, also nothing apears wet in te bell housing. ay help thanks.

sounds like the slave or possibly the master. if youre not leaking then you might have a problem with either weak pressure plate fingers, or an internal leak that is causing the system to lose is pushing power. have you ever had the clutch changed before?
