Bad Starter? Or something else???

There is a ground wire (12 or 14 ga.) from the battery post to the front sheet metal that supports the radiator; the heavy (factory) cable goes to the frame and engine.

If you don't have a factory cable from the battery, just make sue the three point above are covered.

I have a grounding jumper from the frame to one of the starter bolts - it probably isn't necessary, but it seemed like a good idea. The grounds are as important as the positive feeds - they complete the circuit.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the input. I got the problem pinpointed yesterday and fixed it today. Turned out it was an overly corroded wire to the starter and the battery terminal. It was an easy fix. Just goes to show that old wires shouldn't be overlooked.
Solenoid was acting up though. Went to start it and it stuck open, I had to pull of the negative terminal.
