My Ranger has been idling pretty rough so I decided to take a look at the MAF sensor. One of the sensors was broken off and couldn't be soldered back on. Couldn't find a new part in the area so had to get one from a junk yard while a new one is shipped. Put this MAF sensor on and now my truck is idling super bad, almost to the point of stalling.

Does this sound like the junkyard MAF is bad too, or something else busted? Any info is appreciated! Trying to find someway to get it drivable before the new MAF sensor arrives.

I'll try and upload of video of my Ranger idling.

Unhook your Negative and Positive cables for a hour or so. Kills the memory in the computer. Your may still be using the bad stored data. Reconnect and start engine. Computer will start using new data. Also did you clean the JunkYard MAF?

Make sure you use ONLY maf sensor cleaner as you may or may not know alot of other junk will kill it. Of course make sure the batt cables are unhooked when you unplug it and plug it back in and make sure it is all the way dry of cleaner. The wires in them are really frail so don't touch them with anything, just spray the cleaner on them and don't blast it with compressed air either. Not sure with your ecm but some you have to do a drive cycle for the components to re-learn so drive it some then start it back up and see how things are. Let us know and good luck. Linky below for cleaner.
