B2 Rear Wiper Clocking?

So my rear wiper works as in it will swing the arm and squirt, however it doesn't really touch the rear glass with the wiper blade. I have made some clocking changes to the big nut and pin but have not found a sweet spot.

In a move of brilliance, I looked at a nearby second gen B2 with that option to get clues...and the later ones have a totally different eccentric.

This isn't in the Haynes

Can anyone show me what the clocking should look like?

Thanks, that is an epic picture with a reply...but you have the later eccentric ball swivel I assumed was unique to second generation bodys.

More results from my research, I stopped to look at a first generation EB nearly identical to mine but was a '88 model year with rear wiper but it is the eccentric ball as shown.

I doubt clocking is causing your issue. It's more likely the spring is shot.

I remember that mine was like yours looked in the picture when I got it.

I had to take it off and flip it around a couple of times before it worked. I don't remember exactly but you flip the wiper end and the loop that goes over the stud.

There were a few of WTF? and HTF? moments until it came together the right way.

So basically take the wiper arm assembly off and get it to look the way mine is and then put it back on and try it.

No way your late wiper is the same as my early, it is a pin and post verses an eccentric captured ball? I hope to figure out more on my next day off
