I just installed a Dana 35 in my 87 ranger,
At the end of axle shaft that comes thru the spindle, it had a splined washer and the c-clip.
Question, is this all goes here ?
my Dana 28 has a flat washer then a flat thrust needle bearing and then another washer , then c-clip.
I don't know if someone left these off or if the 35 doesn't use them.
it has Warn manual hubs.

It depends on the thickness of the washer. But, it could be all there is. That's the way mine is setup. I have a washer that's like 1/4 in. thick tho.

Depending on what year the D35 is, it should have one of the following:

a single thick steel splined washer, plus the c-clip, or

a three-piece washer consisting of two steel washers (one splined) + a hard plastic (Delrin) washer between the two steels, then the c-clip.
On the latter setup, the unsplined washer goes on first, then the Delrin one, then the splined washer, then is secured with the c-clip.
