I have an 85 b2, 2.8l, with an automatic, that i would like to swap the 5 speed out of my wrecked 88 2.9l b2. The auto in the 85 blew up, and instead of spending the cash to get another auto, id rather just make the swap if it isnt too complicated. What im trying to find out is how hard would it be to do, and what all besides the obvious stuff would i need from the 88. Im not sure which tranny is in the 85 but i do know it has overdrive. Ive looked over both trucks and it doesnt seem all that complicated to me, but since ive never messed with a swap like this before i would like to know what im getting into before i attempt it.
