Hi all, new to the forum, just found it and its been a good source of info. I have an 88 ranger with an auto and the electric shift xfer case. The auto is trash, so I bought a manual Tranny bronco II to swap out. I know when you do the swap you have to use the manual vehicles computer or it'll throw a code and the Cel will stay on. If I do this will my electric xfer case work or will I have to use the xfer case off the bronco? I would just use the manual xfer case but someone stole all the linkages and shifter off the xfer case so I was just gonna leave the electric one for now, it works fine. I appreciate the help..

The electric case will work just fine.

Well, i ended up leaving the auto computer in it. The Bronco II i bought for parts wasnt running, previous owner thought it was wiring. Turns out the computer was bad. My truck wouldnt run with it in. Put the auto computer back in and it runs perfect. Doesnt even have the CEL on, which is strange.
