I just did and oil change and was checking everything else out. Then i realized i had ATF in my coolant. My truck is a 98 ford ranger with 180k mile. i have a 4r44e trans and wondering if it is too far gone or if it is savable or if i just need to rebuild it and if anyone has done so or had this problem? thanks britton

Also have another question. I have possible found another transmission. Before installing it i am wanting to do the transgo shift improver kit and high pressure regulator. wondering if i the shift improver linked below would work for my truck... Please let me know if you have done any of these or if this would work...

Sounds like cooler internal to radiator leaking..time to replace radiator or bypass it and put external cooler on it.

What color is the tranny fluid?? If fluid in tranny still nice and red you maybe ok...if it looks like a strawberry milk shake then trans is bad...antifreeze will make the paper linings on the clutches come off.

ok well thank you for the update i will take a look
