ah SHIT!
not sure if this is the place to throw this but I have been talking to the guy from behemoth doublers, and he is offering a group buy on the doubler kits for rangers. the more people we get in on it the better deal we get on it. he is also raising prices on the kits by 100 bucks after this deal so we need to get a head count on it by march 15 to him. if anyone is game post up on here. the kit is $599 right now. if we get 10 guys in on it we get 10% off, 15 guys on it 15% off.

list of people in for sure

each person we get in on this means another 1% off so spread the word. he is also extending it to jeeps.

Maybe a link to the manufacturers site so we can see what's in it?

Yep, I'm curious to see their design. Im currently designing one that I believe is the best one yet. Best of all, my design does NOT involve the problematic intermediate shaft. I've found a way to remove it altogether...

the best part of this one, is you use your own planetaries, and then you can mate the t case up to whatever you want. Ill be ordering mine to double up to a np205. way stronger and no chain driven case.

we have to get a solid list together so I am not looking for people to flake. I think I have one or maybe 2 people in so far.

I'm in! I have the $ saved for this!

alright so im going to edit the first post to make a roster of people in for this.

How's the list going? Is it just the 3 of us so far?

Wow, I am impressed with that design.
It would give me 2wd low range, something I would love to use on trails/trailer parking/just turning around. And of course a real decent low-low range.

I'm only posting to see where this heads, due to my current poverty even if it was free I couldn't swing the cost of a donor case and custom drive shafts.

I'm chomping at the bit and foaming at the mouth to order lol. I say we all need to order in 2 weeks.

Ok. Here are some pics of the new 1354 Strong Box Shorty kit. Well just the shaft really. But that is the really the only part that is prototype. The housing will be nearly identical to our current version, and shifter mechanism will be the same as that in our current 1354 and 1356 kits, and is tried and true.

The kit adds only 4.0" of length to a 1354.
The intermediate shaft minimum diameter is 2.08" instead of the 1.08" 25 spline.

Please try to break this shaft.

I didnt really want to post pics of something unfinished, but I want to give you guys an idea of the advantages of the new shaft design.

Prototype shaft should be back from heat treat next monday.

You can easily install this kit without splitting the 1354 case
The housing replaces the thin front piece that retains the input bearing and planetary gears.

Youll knock the input shaft out of the planetary, slide the Strong Box output shaft into the planetary in its place, and install a snap ring.
The new shaft will be supported by a massive bearing in the center where you see a section not splined.

After looking it over, talking with a friend and thinking about it I'm in. Also my friend is looking at one of the non-ranger based DIY kits, would he be able to get in on this group buy?

Shoot him a message or text or call him at (270) 287-8663. You have to let him know by the 14th I believe to get the discount and pre February price.
