Anyone ever swap an 83 grill into a 94 Ranger?

I hit a deer tonight, messed up the grill, and I've been contimplating getting an older grill assembly with standard headlights instead of replacing the stock one.
Just wondering if anyone else had done something similar and has pics of the end product.

Can't say that I have seen that.... but you will need some mad skills with metal/ fiberglass fabrication to make it work and not look like a drunken hillbilly's dui crash repair.

To get it to work right, I would probably say you will need a front clip/ core support (or pertinent sections of) from an 80's Ranger so that you can have the headlights mounted and aimed properly...once you got that part done, the fabbing of the mounting brackets and cowling to blend the grille into the newer style fenders and hood is going to be a bear...

But that's my signature style.

My wife has an 84 so I can take a look how things would fit together when the sun comes up.
Squaring up the fenders doesn't seem too tough, and the hood might have an overbite, and of course bumpers would have to be swapped out, but it seems plausable to pull off.

There are fiberglass body kits (with enlarged wheel openings) to go the other way.

I don't think it will be simple at all to do and you will end up with vastly inferior headlights.

that and the body lines between the front clip and the rest of the body will not blend very well at all. in the end it'd just be easier to get a new grille haha
