Mine has one about that size.......^^^^^ I didn't install it though. Seems to work well, I replaced the radiator (leaked) and use it as well as the added cooler. Took off the OEM fan and am using a 16" (3000 cfm) electric. Engine and trans seem to be cool.

I've read that stacked plate coolers are better and more durable.

Finally got around to installing my stacked plate cooler today I replaced the stock tube and fin cooler.

I think it will cool well and the one I listed above is a great fit for the bronco 2, didn't even have to drill a hole to mount.

you can usually find some nice ones at the pick n pull too. the larger ford vehicles are normally the place to go for transmission coolers

Make sure you flush it out really good though, secondhand blown transmissions from garbage in the cooler could be a bad day.

Why yes, yes I have thought about it. But not for a trans cooler. Interesting ...

That is the first time I’ve seen a cooler for a manual transmission. I suppose a old condenser core would work for that since manuals are as temp. sensitive as automatics.

For an automatic, I think it would be too much cooling and cause other problems.

I doubt there's a ford ranger out there that legitimately NEEDS a cooler for its manual trans.
