Sadly this is not surprising. I don't think it will ever result in a recall though. They can barely get the airbags replaced, I could not imagine them trying to do the seatbelts as well.

It's says right in the article they looked at the belts in question and found no safely issues.

I thought takata went belly -up over the airbag thing? No company left to sue or whatever over any other defective crap theyve made.
