Went for a drive today, 1/4 mile down the road I heard something "snap" into position under the truck, sort of like suspension settling after installing springs.

I found this spring laying in the driveway where the truck was parked. I haven't been working on the undercarriage, so no idea where it came from.

Drove the truck again, did the same "snap" thing down the road. Maybe something to do with the parking brake assembly settling after release?

Anyone recognize this spring? Google lens doesn't give any results.

looks like a brake pad return spring ?????

Timothy… I’d name that spring Timothy and call it Tim unless I was mad at it. Then I would use its full name.

Oh, you meant name that part, not name that part. That spring goes between the frame and the parking brake adjuster.

I though Timothy was left in the mine? :dntknw: not of his own choosing.:dunno:

You were more lucky than I. My spring broke. I'd like to replace it. Anyone have a part number or a spare they'd sell? TIA.

That was a different Timothy and a well. But Lassie got help and they pulled him out.
