I will be installing my amp today (Sunday) and wish to get confirmation. I have been reading through Audio & Video threads for the past couple hours for different things, but did not find any info. on this. Can someone please confirm whether I need to run my speaker wires away from the power and remote wires? I know power and remote wires have to go down one side of truck while RCA cables go down the opposite side... but what about speaker wires? Does it matter if they are close to power and remote wires? Do ALL driver and passenger speaker wires have to go down the side of the truck where the RCA cables are? I do not want to find out the hard way and have to redo the speaker wiring due to noise/interference. Thanks!

for what ever reason, i dont know your set up. but if your laying down that mucj speaker cable then yes id put them with your rca's if you cant the EMF wouldnt be as bad as with the RCA's if any but its better safe then sorry

Thanks. I should have included more details, sorry. My set-up is really basic - mild amp powering front and rear Pioneer 6x8's. I will play it safe and run the speaker and RCA's together. Even the write-up on Crutchfield does not specifically address the speaker wire so I wanted to be sure.

typically, you would run the speaker/rca wires down the driver side and the power/remote wires down the pass. side. itll cost you a little more wire, but it will keep the alternator whine outta you speakers. but if you had to, you could always get a freq. reducer that you mount on the alternator, and then you can run your speakers wires on the pass. side. hope this makes sense to ya. good luck and post pics when done.
