sounds like fords standard issue work truck to me

My buddy just bought a regular cab short box 5 speed straight six Eddie Bauer 4x4 F-150...

yeah i know, its a great truck the motor is awesome, and it was just odd because its long bed 2wd with the 300ci and be a 5 speed, and its the first year eddie bauer in the 150 and last year for that motor

Not the first year of the Eddie Bauer. Worked with a guy who had a 93 F1504x4SC.

Still on top of the sales charts as the No. 1 selling vehicle, the F-Series brought a new model into the fold for 1995: the Eddie Bauer edition. Named after the outdoor gear and apparel company favored by yuppies, the Eddie Bauer F-Series was the most luxurious Ford pickup available, with features such as two-tone paint, air conditioning, power everything, stereo with cassette, alloy wheels and the 40/20/40 front seat.

that was on the edmunds f150 history

I was sorry to see Ford drop the Eddie Bauer trim line from their trucks and SUV's. It's brand that's synonymous with high quality outdoor gear, which is what you always got from the best Ford body on frame vehicles.

yeah my grandfather had a 85 f150 single cab long bed base model with a 300 but an auto with dual tanks got it for free because it was flooded out here in ri i think in 91 he eventually pulled the rear tank and put in a 20 gallon but that one was 2wd too he sold it in 99 for like $700 with 237xxx on it to some lady because one day he was on his way to work and passed a local chevy dealer and saw the 95 eddie bauer and wanted it in the worst way he still has it now, and its been gone over a lot except the front drivers fender is rotting, and the bed is rotting over the wheel wells but underneath its solid and has like 145k on it with the original clutch i also read that the eddie buaer usually came with a 40/20/40 seat, his is a full bench with fold down arm rest and power lumbar, driver and passenger, i can get pics of it if anyone is even remotely interested. i
