heres my problem I've got a 2000 4 cyl ranger and when I bought the truck it wouldnt start unless you unarmed the alarm even if it wasnt armed you had to unarm it to get the truck to start. the guy before broke the keychain part of it so he drilled a hole in it and made his own keyring and in the process of doing so the new keyring put a hole in the battery so I was stuck with my ATV in the bed for an hour and a half and was late for work because it couldnt start. after I got the battery I started leaving the remote in the truck so I'd just have to push the button to unarm it then go and because I got in the habit of leaving it in the truck I never armed it anymore. recently I havent needed to unarm it to start the truck it would just always start without pressing the button. I tried to arm it tonight (5 min ago) and it's supposed to chirp twice but its only chirping once and it's not armed cuz I can open the door with no alarm going off.
