Acceleration problem

Truck runs great except when you try to go faster. It spudders and surges between 3000 to 4000 rpm. Below and above that runs find. Passing gear work great. Any ideas.

Clean MAF sensor, always

Is it speed related at all, i.e. does it sputter in 2nd gear at 3,000rpms?

Thats even when your going 60mph

Shift transmission into 2nd and then accelerate and see if you have the same problem at 3,000-4,000rpms

Thank you were right the mad sensor was dirty, clean it runs fine, now I got temp issues.
