A4LD Wiring

A4LD went out in my 86 b2. I got i replacement trans from an 88 b2. Everything fits except one plug on the new transmission has three wires instead of two wires like I had on the original. How do I fix it?

Put in the 86 valve body and change the electrical plug in the transmission
