hello everyone im new to this forum and i need help

first of all please nobody take offence to my name i mean it in funny way.

ok so

my good friends owns a ford ranger 94 2wd with 4.0 cologne v6 a4ld
for the last year it had developed a loss of overdrive and was slipping
under heavy load . so i did my research found a post on a frankentranny
and realized replacing the a4ld with another a4ld would be a waste of time
and thanks to the post on "another way to save a 1st gen" i found out that a conversion was possible. so i picked up a 5r55e out of a 2000 ranger with 100000kms for $150 guy also gave me the motor attached for free but it had a hacked harness . hes probably on this site thanks allot for transmission and engine man!.

i than realized it would not happen wiring that engine and transmission in
to a obd1 truck now it is possible but not with a haynes manual and semi hacked harness . so my good friends friend abandoned his 96 ranger 4.0 with 4r55e due to charging problems so we picked it up for $200 with a working transmision .
i than realized that because its the same model of truck just different wiring and transmission . swapping transmission . engine . engine bay and dash harnesses
would be easy.... so i dissmantled it within 3 days i took everything except chassis harness from under floor board connector because i figured wiring that would be easier than re routing harness to fuel pump and tail light .... ect

im at the stage where i have dissamantled my friends ranger i have
the dash. colomn and seats out .intake manifold off and engine bay harness installed from the 96 on the 94 .

im waiting to swap the transmission before putting engine back together
i like to lean it back on mounts make it easy to get top other 2 bolts out
and it can lean far with no lower intake manifold on .

CRITICAL PART
i found the chassis harness plug starts under brake booster on 94
and starts under floor boards under drivers seat on the 96.
so what i plan on doing IS SPLICING that plug on old engine bay harness going to chassis harness to the 96 interior harness plug going down to chassis harness and turn it around and make it plug right into chassis harness starting under brake booster.its possible to reach i have it apart on my pool table ready to be soldered.

anyways everything is going smooth 0bd2 conversion is possible
and makes life easier when switching to 5r55e in the future with shift kit.
key word easier . fellow grease monkeys it is possible labour is crazy though.

MY MAIN QUESTION : does anyone have wiring pinouts from both 94 and 96 chassis harness connector its a 16 pin plug which the 94 has 15 in use and the 96 has 14 in use.

haynes manuals have lied to me once again that why im begging for you help
there are some same wires on both in different locations on the connector and i dont want to wire preschool way by matching colours not allways right .

anyways your help will very much be appreciated i wish i had an alldata
program for things like this but in my experience enthousiasts answers and opinions are priceless .

thanks:icon_welder: sorry for my spelling

anyone wondering ive been swapping engines for a living
so i know what im doing but as far as systems manufactures
are all different and ford i dont know . i do wirey messes.

i forgot to mention the 96 harnesses had abs the truck doesnt both have a/c though .so i take it 1 or two of the wires on the plug im refering to goes to rear wheels speed sensors for abs which truck doesnt have .

for the time being i found some diagrams and turns out colors are kindof the same just different pins on the clip

also turns out even though its the same body style truck and generation that stupid ford decided to change everything so nothing can be swapped without being custom fabricated

i feel like with all the labour i put in im restoring an old hot rod or something but its just a peice of shit truck .
