I've got '90 B2 that I'd like to eventually put a truck cab on but for now need to make do as is. It's got it's share of rust issue's but there's a couple that need attention.

On the driver's side door post at the top & bottom, there's a couple of large rust hole's I need to fix, but am not sure on the best way to go about it. When it rain's it put's quite a bit of water on the drivr side floor. There's a small hole forming on the passenger side as well.

I was thinking about using great stuff to plug the hole and then spray undercoating over it to seal it, but want another opinion(s) on the matter.

I have pic's if it help's (need to resize them).

Pics would be good.

After grinding off the rusty hunks, I like to fill large holes with great stuff and then skim over with bondo. Sand it up nice and proper, and re-paint.

I live in the U.P. we are quite possible the worst area for rust. It all depends on what you want to spend and how long you want it to last. Spray foam and bondo will make it look better but doesn't add a lot of strength. Obviously cutting the rust out and patching in new metal would be the best but its very labor intensive and expensive.

I plan on using fiber glass chop mat and resin to fix my the rust on my bed. Its fairly east to work with and pretty easy on the wallet. But I also plan to use roll on bed liner over top of the repair so i'm not overly concerned on the appearance of it due to the texture of the bedliner over top of the repair.

A kid a couple years ahead of me in high school had an old Nova that was a bunch of different colors including rust. He covered the whole thing with duct tape, it really looked pretty good from a distance... until summer. :icon_twisted:
