98 4.0ohv install cam syncro questions.

Ive attempted to reinstall my cam syncro 4 times now and keep screwing it up somehow. Can someone please give me an exact how to on this. Its a 98 4x4 4.0 OHV. When i install the new syncro ( using tool as well ) and sensor.....

Does the engine have to be at Top Dead Center compression stroke 0 degress. 10 degress after
10 degress before
or
26 degress using 33mm tape trick. Please help!!

But . . . it will get you into an area that has many other videos. There is one that I thought was in my bookmarks (not) that is done by an older mechanic that is clear and very understandable. The answers to most of your questions is "yes" but you are still far from getting a real fix. There is only one way it will work - no retard advance mechanically available ... all that is done electronically. Good luck.
