I have a 98 2wd 2.5 5spd ranger. I've been eating up front tires since I have a pretty good commute to work each day. I had an alignment done on the truck and i'm not sure if the truck was hit or what happend but he said he can only get the one side within 2 degrees. I believe that is what it was. I was wondering what My options were to get this solved. And also if someone can give me some ways and measurements to measure and check the front to see if it actually is out of wack.

It actually looks like the insides of both front tires are wearing but one side worse then the other for sure. If anyone can give me some insight or help on the subject.

Itd be nice to just be able to buy an upper control arm with more of an adjustment but hopefully someone can give me some ideas as to whats possible.

What you want to look for is a 'camber adjustment kit' that will increase the range of camber adjustment possible. The A-arm may be tweaked(bent) and be tilting the axis inward at the top, causing the inner tire to wear excessively.
I do not know if one is made for the A-arm Ranger suspension. The twin-Ibeam suspension had adjusters that could be put into the socket for the ball joint taper, and rotated to move the ball joint inward or outward, changing the camber. If two were used, the caster could also be adjusted.
The high majority of 'alignment shops' will charge an arm and a leg to actually adjust the caster or camber on most trucks, especially the Twin-I. The inserts are graded in increments of angle as to how much they will tweak the caster/camber, so you have to get the correct insert.
I suspect similar parts are available to move the A-arm pivot inward/outward, but won't bet my paycheck.
