Hi all,

I have a 97 Ranger 2wd. The truck just rolled over 200k, and I put new shocks on both the front and the back.

The problem I have now is that the front end is still lower than the back. I guess the next step is to replace the original coil springs, but I'd love to raise the front end an inch or two so it matches the rear.

Is there a special size coil spring I should purchase? I figure that the coil springs need to be replaced anyway because they are original, but I also want to make sure that the front end picks up 1-2 inches. Is there a different size of coil spring I should buy?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Since you have the 4.0l, you've got the heaviest stock spring you can get. You can modify your coil buckets to accept f150 coil springs, that'll lift you a couple inches. You will need an alignment afterwards...

Thanks for the reply.

How much modification would I need to do to my coil buckets? Also, what year F150 springs would I need?

I don't want any drastic lift in the front -- just an inch or so to help eliminate the rake and even the truck out.

I would try coil spacers first. Wright up here n how to lift the front with washers.

Leveling coils is what your looking for. Same coil as factory with 1.5-2 inches of lift. Skyjacker or rough country makes some.
