95 Exploder 4.0 into a 94 Ranger 4.0

Hi guys, I'm swapping out the tired old 4.0 in my 94 Ranger XLT, 4.0, M5R1, 2wd. I've picked up a decent lower mileage 4.0 from a 95 Exploder. It's been sitting up for a while and during that time somebody borrowed the cam position sensor & drive. The 94 doesn't need that abomination but I do have to spin the oil pump with SOMETHING. I don't see the sense in spending $150+ for a cps just to drive the oil pump so the $64 question is will a 97-01 oil pump drive assembly fit/work in the 95 block? What parts from the 94 4.0 will interchange with the 95? ie: intake, exhaust, etc.... Any help is really appreciated.

1995 Explorer used the 4.0l OHV engine, same engine as your 1994 Ranger 4.0l
So your 1994 oil pump drive can be removed and installed on the 1995 4.0l

Also plan on swapping over your lower and upper intakes as needed for correct sensor, fuel line and injector connections, Ford often used different "ends/connectors" in different years.

I would also install new valve cover gaskets while engine is out, also I would install a new Rear Main seal while 1995 engine is out, not a common failure for the 4.0l OHV but very hard to change if it does start to leak

Current 1994 Ranger exhaust manifolds will bolt to the 1995 engine

Oil pan may need to be changed if it is not the same
