I am building a 5.0 ranger 93 block, 98 gt40p heads, and 95 ho serp belt system up front. I planned on running 93 efi valve covers, stock. My question; the valve covers hit the back of the alternator... so are the covers different than 95 covers? Or is the alternator different than the 93's

I would sure bet the alternators are different. The '94-95' front dress moves everything back a bit. Valve covers are usually all interchageable.

The alternators are different, you have to use the alternator from the year belt system you got...

Thank you guys, I kinda thought that but wanted some reassurance.

I have a 97 5.0L Explorer, and I have no issues with the belt hitting. Might be the fact your running the GT40P heads on the 1993 block? Not sure. But others have said the alt, might be different:dunno:, or the accessory bracket could be diff.
