I have the Ranger above, and my code reader was showing a vehicle not responding message. I went to the shop (extended family/friends) and used two other readers and got the same message. Searched here, and found the paper clip test (it worked). Did the KOER test first (normally no good luck with the KOEO tests) then the other. What I got was 998, 224 and then 111, 224.
Google search of 224 (does search here, not like three digits?), says ICM common cause, checked price online and it makes me wonder if there is someway I can test/meter it out, before spending the money.
(like to test both it and the coils)
Thanks!
