Thought I'd post a little thread and write the things I've learned about ranger suspensions and what not. Hopefully it helps someone out there, because I've had a heck of a time finding the RIGHT parts...

THUS FAR:
Got wheels from a newer b-series and stripped and powder coated them. The tires are 255/70R15 General Grabber AT2's. They rub at full clock on the sway bar (not a big deal), but I'll do a whole post on wheel bores sometime...
Just today, I added skyjacker 1.5-2 inch leveling springs. They gave me 1 inch, but ill do a post on that as well.

TO DO: Replace my dented axle housing and add 1" blocks to match the front lift. I've learned so much about axles this last month!

It's an automatic. Has 185000 miles though and still going strong. I attribute it to an external cooler and frequent fluid changes. When it dies, however, it will get a manual swap.

Thanks for the compliment. It is indeed very clean. The previous owner (who happens to be my uncle) did regular maintenance and kept it covered when not driven. The paint is pretty much mint, as is the interior. Waxing helps too, of course.

The grabbers are good so far. Minimal noise, good price. If you like the white letters, they don't come on the 255/70 size. I like the aggressive tread that wraps onto the sidewalls.
