Hi Guys,
I've got a 94 4x4 Ranger 4.0, A4LD, push button 4x4, power locks, power windows and A/C.
last week it popped the 60 amp IGN maxi fuse in the underhood fuse box, while driving down a gravel road
installed new fuse and it popped again instantly as soon as I turned the key to the ON position. I checked all the under hood wiring harness' , checked for chaffing, dead shorts. nothing found. put in another fuse and it worked fine. UNTIL I went down another gravel road. it popped again.
this time I checked everything I could access by hand, not having any tools.
this time I wasn't able to get it going again, burnt several fuses trying to find the problem. ended up having to tow it 80 miles to the house.
once I got it home, I pulled the alternator wires, the a/c compressor wires off and it still pops fuses
has anyone else had this problem? does anybody have an EVTM handy for this truck?
somebody suggested the GEM module???
