i have a 4.0L v6

i dont want a huge amount of horse power i do 4x4 with it, and want just a little more torque and horsepower

Don't bother, there really isn't anything cheap and bolt on that will produce any beneficial results.

Step one: Remove 4.0.
Step two: Install small block V8.


Seriously though there is a veritable cornucopia of mods and trick for the 4.0L to coax out more torque and HP. Every thing from headers to super chargers and turbo chargers.

Or supercharge it; If anyone still makes a supercharger for the 4.0 OHV.

Otherwise, it has been stated on here many times, the 4.0 is the performance upgrade to the 2.9 and the 5.0 is the performance upgrade to the 4.0.

There are a couple things you could do, one is supercharge it, but you would have to find a used kit since no one makes one anymore.

There are also aftermarket heads, and cams available, anything else would have to be custom.
