91 ranger 5 speed 4.0 shifting problems

I just replaced the slave cylinder and throw out bearing in my 91 ranger and it's still really tough to put it into gear. I bleed the slave but it's not any better!! Anyone with ideas??? Please?? What could the problem be???

The most likely scenario by far is that you have air trapped in the master cylinder.
