Alright guys, i am stumped..... This fawking axle is leaking like crazy from the driverside tube. Not from where it mounts directly to the brake shoe backing plate, but it is leaking from the INSIDE of the bearing. I have used silicone, replaced the bearing, and still pours out. Going through about 3 qts of fluid in a week and a half. I know that 9" seep a little, but holy shit, this is rediculous! Any help would be great!:icon_thumby:

Didn't you just post that exploded view of the 9" rear end? You do say you replaced the bearing but make no mention of the seal. Even a soft rubber seal can wear into a hard steel shaft after awhile, that's why they make replacement sleeves for both ends of the crankshaft (V-8's).

Speedi-Sleeve is what you are refering to.

Just buy a axle tube seal, they're about $35 a piece. I use them and thing doesn't leak a drop of fluid, and also allows more fluid in the case because its got 2 seals on the axle shaft plus the one at the end of the tube, for 6 total seals.
