89 ranger was running wont start now

I have an 89 ranger and I just swapped a 86 2.9 in it cause my 2.9 was blown. I have put in a new fuel pump and also all new wiring underneath the hood. Ok so this is how the story goes I was driving back home and it started acting like it was out of gas and then it died and i tryed push starting it and jumping it and it would just crank. I got it home and put in a new tfi and also a new pick up coil well then i looked at the fuse panel and saw the eec fuse was blown. i then got another fuse and i turned on the truck and it blew again the fuel pump is not coming on and i need help with this is there a relay that im missing or something that would just cause the fuse to blow. Please and thank you

Time to check the wiring, the fuse blowing like that is a short somewhere

Ok im going to check the wiring and all and if you can let me know where to look kinda that would be helpful is it just going to be in the engine bay and all or should i also check other places also. Any help would be helpful thank you
