Hello All, 2010 since I last posted my ranger project! so here you go!
Sum It up... 1988 Ranger STX 4.0L Swap from explorer, Coil on plug conversion, 5 speed, custom wiring, explorer eec, T3T4 turbo inter-cooled, 10inch 6 puck clutch, 9inch ford diff 3.73 spool, rear mounted radiator, battery, and fuel cell.

I seen some where here someone had asked if anyone had put a Cummins turbo on a 4.0l. Well I had one on for a bit when my first turbo lost the seals. It was lots of boost at the top end of the RPM range. I needed it a bit closer to the ground. lol

Here a some pics of the bed. Getting How I installed the Radiator and fuel cell. I'll get some new pics b/c the radiator is mounter under the cross bars now.

awesome build, id really like to see more 4.0 turbo builds.
what are you running for engine managment with your 4.0 turbo set-up?

Ford eec iv with add on hardware and self tuning. Want to go to eec v with a Thoroughbred chip to make life easier.... It idles like stock and runs well though it's boost but I'm at my limits. Would like to clean up a fue things with programming.

Thanks guys. Sorry I've been away. Moved from California to Missouri. Amonks many trips moving loadIs I had to drive the DangerRanger the 2k miles and have to say had a great trip.

If you don't mind me asking, what add on hardware are you using? What tuning program that allows self tuning? Or is it built into a j3 chip?
