Hi my 1986 Ford Ranger wont stay running after sitting at a red light for too long, after taking off it will try to stall out. But then returns back to normal. Not sure why and was looking for information on why this happens. It has the 2.9l v6, Fuel injected. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Brake booster is bad the diaphragm inside is probably ripped or decayed you can get a new one at pepboys for like 90 bucks and its easy to swap out

Also check PCV valve, another large vacuum leak point

idle air control motor? Auto or stick? It would be more noticeable with an auto of course.
