My 86 2.3L ranger wont run after it has been raining or in the morning. Its getting fire i checked it at the plugs and at the coil pack. everything that fires is new.New distributor, cap, plugs, wires, igniton module.:icon_confused:

Crank sensor..... ?
If the connector is leaky it would do it I reckon...

Ah...see my reply to your other posts...this answers my questions...

If you're near a junkyard and they happen to have 89 Tempos sitting around, find the distributor boot (or two) and cover your distrubutor...and coil...and try spraying silicone spray on the wires...WD40 also works, or any number of water displacement sprays...I like the silicone best because it seems to last longer than WD...
