85 in need of a ton of TLC

How's it going everyone,

Picked up an 85 2.8 with absolutely no rot on the entire body or frame to speak of for a crisp $500 just as a little project. Looking to do a full restoration top to bottom since I've always had a soft spot for these little trucks.

So far - Removed incorrectly installed Carb from a 77 F100 and replaced it with the factory 2b carb, got the truck running.
Runs good now, aside from some minor knocking, but who am I to complain on a 32 year old motor.
Tore the interior apart, top to bottom, replaced the vinyl on the door panels, in the process of reupholstering the seat, and replacing what I can't repair in the dash.
Replaced the entire braking system, lines hoses calipers rotors pads master cylinder.


Currently taking my time, tracking down as many factory, oem interior parts as possible. If anyone has any leads on new interior parts let me know please, any assistance tracking parts down would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, welcome to TRS~!

Might be hard to find engine specific parts but the body parts can be ordered if needed...although they are not OEM and may not be as good as originals...but if the body is rust free you might want to consider a frame off restore to ensure it lasts longer than it takes to pay for the engine work...

Good that you know enough about the older carb systems to get it working...not many people would take that project on without considering an upgrade to something more modern...like a carbed 5.0...

I sold an 85 b2 with next to no rust awhile back because needed cash, damn it's hard to find rust free bodies up here.
