Well i might as well start a thread about this, been at it all day today and will try and get some pics tommorow, my 84 Ranger has 76 Bronco axles under it currently, which r 4sale. I am setting the truck up for mud runs and lifting it more to clear 38's nicely. Putting in axles from 79 F-150, so i will be in same tracks as most the other mud runners in my area, instead of cutting my own rut on one side. I am building my own extended stock radius arms, have 1 done and 1 to finish tommorow. Today i mounted the 79 Coil buckets, after putting in spacer on the frame, i dropped my bracket a little , around 2in and using Duff 5.5 lift coils, appears will lift truck quite a bit. did some other work to frame around steering box, was cracking. Other odd end plans for truck are 5.13 gears, chromoly shafts, disc brakes in rear.

What do you have under the hood? What gears are you running in the axles?

Today i mocked up the front, still using radius arms that came with truck, but im building my own set also, i mounted the buckets twice today which kinda sucked 1st time was mounted about inch and half higher, but when putting the 38s on was still a little tight, so went ahead and dropped them all the way, i think it looks real good, only big issue i see is header clearance near front pumpkin yoke? If anyone has had this problem with 302 with headers and fullwidth axles, let me know, or what headers do you have??

o and i borrowed the 2 front 38.5 boogers they have been grooved, just needed them for testing, wish they were mine.

Yes I think the boggers look good also, and they are 38.5-11-15, but smaller lug has been grooved out, set i will get for now will be ungrooved.

nice truck.
so your basically using the same type axles, only full width? Will every thing bolt up the same as the old axles?

and do you have 2 builds going on at once? heck, I been working on one truck for a year and still not done.

yep I do have 2 builds going on, but this truck is priority to finsih this month, other truck will be couple months cause of $$$ needed, u could count a 3rd build, cause bought stock bronco 2 to run in the mean time and i keep upgrading it and fixing things on it also.

As far as swapping to full width goes, you have to space out coil bucket towers, it orginal on other swap was using stock towers, i don't like that setup with SAS, so using 79 Bucket towers, building new track bar, just because was not happy with design of 1st one, i have 1 in 1/4 3/8 wall DOM im using for the track bar, i am threading it and using 3/4 heims.

Done currenty:

1. Spaced out coil buckets on frame, bolted and welded
2. reinforced frame where track bar & steering box mount
3: Track bar built
4: 1 stock extended radius arm redone
4: Springs changed in rear
5: New block added to rear last night gain 1 more inch

To do list:
1: Build 2nd extend radius arm
2: Build drop braket spacers for radius arm mounts
3: Finish trac bar,
4: Mount front shock Mounts and shocks
5: install extend brake line
6: Rear shock tower Mounts
7: rear shock lower axle mounts
8: Disc brake rear conversion
9: Install front and rear 5.13 gears, full spool rear, front aussie
10: Lots of misc, but those are big pending things, should have all other than gears done this weekend.
