Is there two fuel pumps? One in the tank? I'm replacing the one on the engine.

Should be just the one on the engine, I know it is on the equivalent Rangers.

Just one pump. The tank pump is for fuel injection.

I thought that you would need one to pump the fuel to the other fuel pump. Fi engines usually have in line fuel pumps to get high pressure and one in the tank to get it out.

2.8Ls have one mechanical pump on the engine. Period.
