Hello, I am looking at swapping an 8.8 into my BII and was wondering if the swap is just like the one in the tech library or if there are any differences specific to the BII?

Not really.

IIRC the biggest issue swapping axles between the Ranger/Explorer and the BII is that putting a B2 axle in something with a side-mount tank causes drive shaft to fuel tank clearance issues.

There may be a slight discrepancy in the distance between spring perches as well, but that won't affect your swap since the perches need moved anyway on the Explorer axle.
