This question is actually for my Mustang not my Ranger. But anyway, in the attached pic I've highlighted the outlet in the heater tube which also feeds the EGR plate with coolant. Like many people, I don't want coolant going through there, and my Explorer lower intake doesn't even have a return port in the intake anyway. I've gone through a few rubber vacuum plugs trying to cap it off, but they only last a couple months before they crack and leak. So I have two questions.
1. Does anyone have a better idea of how I can block this off?
OR
2. Does anyone have one of the pipes off of an Explorer they want to sell (the Explorer has the return line in pipe instead of the intake manifold)?
I asked over at www.allfordmustangs.com and there's a member over there that suggested I weld it shut, so I might do that. I've noticed the guys over here are TRS are a bit more inventive. I'd rather have something better to block it, or a tube out of an Explorer.
