4wd Shifting with a lift kit.

Has anyone come up with a solution to the manual transfer case shifter touching the body of the truck when a 3" body lift is installed?
I cant shift into 2wd and 4wd lo any more when the shift linkage is conected.
BTW i have a 1989 Ranger XLT with a 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift.

cut your floorpan to allow for full travel of the shifter arm, and also go ahead and lengthen the arm's length so the ball is in a comfortable location, and you'll also be able to run your factory floor plastic and boots after lengthening.
