My credo
I'm not afraid of dying, not living terrifies me!
Sat while road testing my new build ('99 Ranger, 2006 SD D60/Sterling 10.5" 5.13, Grizzly Locker rear, True-Trac F,) Anyway, went to climb Curahee Mtn and decided to shift it into 4low for extra torque. Got down off the mtn, stopped in N, turned knob back to 2-Hi and continued on. Front driveshaft was still spinning based on vibrations so I found a shady spot and pulled the ds for the 2hr drive home but the 4low light is flashing intermittently. Sunday morning I pulled the shift motor and found that the tcase was indeed in 2wd. Had to leave to go to work but hopefully will be home tonight to start troubleshooting. Any ideals on what is going on?

Switch issue? Possibly the 4wd module?

Motor, not making full travel on the rotery switch plate of the internal gear, or the little bump stop disintegrated?
