Ok here is what I have done + a little back ground info.
Stock truck.
2004 ranger 4.0 sohc 5r55e 4x4
stock pcm
And now.
2004 ranger 4bt cummins, m5r1 4X2 <------------------
stock pcm
BTW 2001? ish and up pull the VSS from the tranny not the rear diff.
problem is the pcm is reading the vss in to transmission very off, about X2 what it should be, What I need is the stock tone ring count from the 5r55e? If someone could help me with that I would greatly appreciate it. I am kinda desprate, of if you know what part the oss reads off let me know, and I will try to buy it on ebay.
All the other guages work fine including the TACH, but this no vss is killing me.
