302 with aod trans question

Question to those who have gone here before......

On my swap/build I am still in frame off with trans and (carb) 302 sitting in the frame, and a friend said to be careful because a 4 speed AOD trans will need the computer to switch into OD.

This build is non-computer being carb. Will i have issues with the trans switching?

Any help in what trans I have?

The tag is still on the trans. as follows

I think you should be okay if your trans is from 79-91 model year

Thanks for the information. It all makes perfect logic.... will be looking into the T V cable hook ups that I was reading about.
