Hey im looking to convert my 2wd reguar cab ranger to 4wd. Can anyone give me some pointers and which way would be the easier/best way of doing this.I'm not mechanically retarded (i know how to use a ratchet) but mechanic terms are not quite in my vocabulary. All im looking for is some good guidance through a tough project.Thanks.

find a chassis and swap your cab and box onto it, it's relatively straight forward as long as they are about the same year. That's what I did

Either option 1 or 2 listed above...

or.... sas it. lots of people w/ the newer rangers like yours will do a d30 solid axle. depends on the needs and what you're looking to do. basic 4x4, i'd say find a 4x4.. lol. the d30 swap will be costly and time consuming. but there is a guy trying to sale almost everything you need here:

but that'll set you up for leafs, do you want leafs? lol.

honestly, unless you're building an all out trail rig, just find a premade 4x4 and buy it.
