Yes, I have a subscription to C&D, but I read all kinds of car related info on the internet, and Popular Mechanics is one of my Favorites.
I will post a pic of the Bronco Sport later, its at home, in my Thinking Room. and this is the 1st of me hearing the "Maverick" name being tossed around. And @snoranger , YESSSS, most of the article is "speculation" with a few hard facts.

My understanding has been that the new Ranger will be based off the up coming Bronco. Since they are talking 2023-2024 for the Bronco based Ranger to come out, one would guess we will have the current one until then.

If all the rumor and conjecture is accurate.

Correct, I'm referring to the Next Gen Ranger (2024), not the current 2019 model

You would be correct. I'm not sure what the point of the Bronco Sport is unless it's meant to replace the Escape. Why offer two crossovers of the same class if you can just use one and make the upgrades or option available on that? You want a Soccer Mom mobile? Pick the Soccer Mom options. You want a more traditional SUV and Off Road poser look? Choose the poser options.

Yet the Mustang II front suspension is the most popular design in the world. It can be found under all sorts of different hot rods, street rods, rusty looking shitboxes (I believe they renamed that category rat rods), etc.
