Tighten it until it snaps then back off a 1/4 turn
Has anyone done a V8 swap in a 2010 or 2011?

I see you have annual inspections in NC and emissions inspections in Guilford county. A v8 swap may be a problem. Unless you have a special place to get it done.

2004 and up will be a wiring nightmare.

Your instrument cluster and ECU are a matched pair, one won't work without the other.

But anything is possible with enough time and money.

I have completed the swap in a 2006 FX4 Level II, I don't see the 2010-2011 being any different, the newer digital Cluster works fine with the swap or you can convert to the older style cluster like in my swap wiring thread.

I had to use the explorer steering rack just because it had threaded fittings, not o-ring fittings like newer rangers, you could make some custom lines but if you just use the expo rack and lines, and everything thing is plug and play for the power steering.

Making the jumper harness was pretty easy once I made the spreadsheets. I could help identify any wiring differences in your truck vs my spreadsheets when you get to the wiring part of the install.

The Cluster is not matched to anything, that has been misinformation. It has nothing to do with the PATS or the ECU.
